Self Service?

I'm thinking of also including a self-service page for BlackBerry users so they can reset their own activation password (they can set everything else on the device easily enough, I think).

What do you think?

I realize that there is a Web Desktop Manager that RIM is offering, but this requires ActiveX installations on each client that runs it. I figured this would be a bit lighter.

What other functions do you think should be included on a "Self Service" page?

Rob, I wanted to talk with you about an implementation of BerryStats I am beginning to use in my environments. If you have time, can you email me?

I would definitely be interested in a self service interface.. A section for users to be able to add an account to the BES for themselves would be beneficial in this section.

Self service is coming with version .56 - although I'm not sure the ability to 'add' themselves to the BES server is something we want, is it? I mean, I think that adding a user should fall on the BES admin or helpdesk...I dunno - what do you guys think?

I'm not sure that letting the users add themselves is something that should be added. If it is added, please have it off by default.

This feature is added, and you can assign the 'add user' function to a self-service user (which you can control via the 'roles administration' page).

I can certainly see the need for this now after doing some research...

Also, I've made it so the user can only add themselves. (new with .57)
